Beenie Sigel Case Declared Mistrial

Rocafella rapper Beenie Sigel (born Dwight Grant) could've been locked up for 20-to-40 years if the jury trying his case came back with a guilty verdict. Lucky for Sigel though, the jury went out to lunch. After five days of deliberations, the Philadelphia jury couldn't reach a decision, so the judge declared a mistrial. Sigel, accused of licking shots at a man outside a bar last July, faced attempted murder, among other charges. Though it's unclear if and when Sigel will be retried, it's unlikely he's celebrating. He faces about three years in prison after pleading guilty to federal drug and weapons charges earlier this month, and he has another trial coming up in which he's been accused of fracturing a 53-year-old dude's eye socket. Talk about catching cases.
