Beef Checkoff Program.

A newly launched Web site at www.beefmobile.com highlights the Beef Checkoff A system whereby an employer regularly deducts a portion of an employee's wages to pay union dues or initiation fees.

The checkoff system is very attractive to a union since the collection of dues can be costly and time-consuming. Program and the travels of its "Beefmobile" to assist state beef councils and auction markets as they plan appearances by the roving information center. The Beefmobile is funded by the Cattlemen's Beef Board on behalf of America's beef producers.
