(NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :BEC) announced today the issuance of $100 million in debentures, due on June 1, 2026, at an interest rate of 7.05%. Beckman intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes and to repay the company's existing commercial paper borrowings. Beckman filed a registration statement (Form S-3) with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 5, 1996, indicating its intent to issue up to $200 million in public debt securities.
