Beckman Coulter and Cellomics Collaborate.

Pittsburgh, PA and Fullerton, CA 6/22/00--Beckman Coulter have signed a long-term strategic agreement with Cellomics, a cell-based drug discovery company. Under the agreement, the companies will co-market Cellomics's ArrayScan II instrument and application software, HitKit reagents and informatics products in North America and selected European countries. Beckman Coulter will be the exclusive distributor of the products, including the ArrayScan Kinetics Reader. The companies will also form Cell Technology Centers of Excellence with academic and nonprofit research institutions and collaborate on technology development.

Beckman Coulter is counting on this company's cell-based high content screening products to further expand ts position in the drug discovery market. Cellomics has grown tremendously since its formation in 1996 and specializes in multiparametric image analyses of intact cells.
