:BEC) announced today that Dennis K. Wilson, 63, vice president, finance, chief financial officer (CFO See Chief Financial Officer. ) and treasurer, is retiring later this summer. Amin I. Khalifa, 45, will replace Wilson in this capacity on June 1, 1999, with responsibility for the company's Worldwide Finance and Management Information organizations. Wilson will shift his focus to transition activities.

Khalifa has held senior positions with some of the nation's leading public companies. He comes to Beckman Coulter from Monsanto Company, where he was CFO for the Agricultural Sector. Prior to that, Khalifa served as senior vice president and CFO of Aetna Health Plans, a division of Aetna, Inc., ultimately advancing to a corporate position as head of Investor Relations Investor relations
