BERKELEY, Calif. - Chris Kunda singled in the game-winning run in the eighth inning Saturday as 10th-ranked Oregon State came from behind to beat California 5-2 in Pac-10 Conference baseball at Evans Diamond Evans Diamond is a baseball stadium in Berkeley, California. It is the home field of the University of California Golden Bears college baseball teams. The stadium holds 2,500 people and opened in 1933. It is named after former Cal baseball coach, Clint Evans. .

SEATTLE - Cambria Miranda hit her 10th home run and pitcher Brianne McGowan had two RBIs to lead ninth-ranked Oregon State over 14th-ranked Washington 3-2 in Pac-10 Conference softball Saturday.

The Beavers (32-7, 4-4 Pac-10) won for only the third time against the Huskies (29-14, 3-6) in Seattle.

Miranda hit her home run in a bizarre twist. With Maggie DeWall on first, Miranda went deep. The home run was waved off when DeWall was called out for leaving first base early. Miranda returned to the plate and hit another one out of the park two pitches later.

McGowan (20-4) blanked the Huskies for the first six innings. Ta'Tyana McElroy gave up two runs in the seventh, but the Beavers held on to win.

Top-ranked Bruins drop Ducks in softball

LOS ANGELES - Top-ranked UCLA scored six runs in the first inning and cruised to a 9-3 victory over Oregon in Pac-10 Conference softball at Easton Stadium Saturday.

Lanea Hyland hit a three-run homer and Kasey Sconce and Kathy Richard each had two RBIs in Northwest Christian's 11-3 college softball win over Patten University for a split of their doubleheader on Saturday at James Park.

Darci Byrne picked up the pitching win as the Beacons (16-18) backed her with 18 hits.

In the second game, Patten rode a three-run homer by Kim Geddes in the sixth inning to a 3-1 win. Missi Williams drove in NCC's only run.

Lane sweeps baseball at Southwestern Oregon

COOS BAY - Mike Bauman and Jessie Sweet turned in strong pitching performances Saturday as Lane Community College swept a NWAACC NWAACC Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges  baseball doubleheader from Southwestern Oregon.

Bauman pitched eight innings in a 7-2 victory in the opener, and Sweet went the distance earning his fourth straight league victory in a 4-2 win in the second game.

Scott Jacobson and Avery Roemen homered in the second inning of the opening game for Lane (15-11, 9-5).

CORVALLIS - Freshman Courtney Kupets was as poised as a veteran as she shared titles on the uneven bars and balance beam at the NCAA women's championships Saturday night at Oregon State's Gill Coliseum.
