Beaver meet on Sunday.

Byline: Ron Bellamy The Register-Guard

CORVALLIS - A triple-header to benefit the Oregon State wrestling program will be held Sunday at Gill Coliseum.

A story in Friday's Register-Guard incorrectly said the matches would be held today.

Oregon State is encouraging wrestling fans to "help ensure the long-term future of the wrestling program" at OSU by attending the event. Admission is $10, with all the proceeds going to the Wrestling Endowment Fund to support OSU wrestling. The ticket office will open at 11 a.m. Sunday, and the doors open at noon.

The Beavers will face No. 13 Wisconsin at 1 p.m. Sunday and No. 8 Boise State at 5 p.m. Sunday. Wisconsin and Boise State will wrestle each other at 3 p.m.

Before the first match, a banner displaying all of OSU's national champion wrestlers will be un- veiled and the Beavers will recognize their eight former NCAA champions - Les Gutches, Don Conway, Jess Lewis, Roger Weigel, Greg Strobel, Larry Bielenberg, Dan Hicks and Howard Harris.

Before the OSU-Boise State match, the Beavers will honor Gutches and the late Robin Reed, an OSU wrestler in the 1920s.
