The management of Beaufield Consolidated Resources Inc. is pleased to provide the following update for the summer 2005 exploration program of the Falconbridge Beaufield Troilus Quebec exploration agreement. Falconbridge Limited (formerly Noranda Inc, prior to the merger of Noranda Inc. and Falconbridge Limited) is operator of the exploration agreement. To date, Beaufield has spent $1,498,000 on the $2 million earn-in program. Earlier drilling discovered a possible extension of the Tortigny base metal deposit, which will be followed-up once a 3D deposit model is completed and assessed. The summer program involved prospecting 34 targets, all hosting MEGATEM conductor picks located within the Troilus-Frotet greenstone belt Greenstone belts are zones of variably metamorphosed mafic to ultramafic volcanic sequences with associated sedimentary rocks that occur within Archaean and Proterozoic cratons between granite and gneiss bodies. , Quebec. More specifically, it is the study of the absolute and relative abundances of chemical elements in the minerals, soils, ores, rocks, water, and atmosphere of the earth and the distribution and movement of results. The most interesting results occur within a 4.5 by 2.5 km area that includes the Tortigny base metal deposit. Geoffrey Chinn MSc, P.Geo., from Falconbridge, is the qualified person as defined under NI43-101 for this project. Assays were performed at ALS Als (äls), Ger. Alsen, island, 121 sq mi (313 sq km), Sønderjylland co., S Denmark, in the Lille Bælt, separated from the mainland by the narrow Alensund. Chemex Canada Ltd. Laboratory. Falconbridge and Beaufield consider these results as very positive exploration results. A deep penetrating electromagnetic ground survey is being planned to systematically cover Tortigny and the new on-strike showings. This will be combined with a follow-up program consisting of magnetics, geology, prospecting, and trenching intended to identify additional showings in the Tortigny area. Together these programs are designed to identifying drill targets for a future winter drill program.A drill program of at least 10 holes is planned for 2006. The drill program will be focused on testing targets with both MEGATEM conductors and geochemical anomalies.Beaufield believes this to be an appropriate approach for managing exploration risk in the area. Falconbridge and Beaufield are encouraged by the discovery of new base metals in the Frotet-Troilus greenstone green·stone n. Any of various altered basic igneous rocks colored green by chlorite, hornblende, or epidote. greenstone Noun NZ a type of green jade used for Maori carvings and ornaments and believe it to be an important step towards making a significant discovery.
