), is once again competing in that prestigious category with the A&E Original Movie P.T. Barnum.

P.T. Barnum was nominated for Outstanding Miniseries and Beau Bridges Beau Bridges, (born Lloyd Vernet Bridges III on December 9, 1941 in Los Angeles, California), is an American actor. He is the son of actor Lloyd Bridges and his college sweetheart, Dorothy Dean Simpson.  was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor In A Movie Or Miniseries category for his portrayal of the legendary showman. As well, BIOGRAPHY(R) was nominated for the fourth time in the Outstanding Non-Fiction Series category. The series won that award in 1997.

In all, A&E received five 2000 Primetime Emmy Awards The Primetime Emmy Awards are awards presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in recognition of excellence in American primetime television programming. First awarded in 1949, they were originally referred to as just the "Emmy Awards" until the first Daytime Emmy , it was announced today by The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
