The following is an announcement from the law firm of Beatie and Osborn LLP:

A class action was commenced in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, Seattle Division on behalf of all persons who purchased shares of AVT Corp. (NASDAQ: AVTC) from January 20, 2000 through March 17, 2000 (the "Class Period").

The Complaint names AVT Corp. and certain of its officers for violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Specifically, the Complaint alleges that defendants misrepresented and concealed material problems with the Company's business, including that customers were delaying new purchases and that sales of the Company's customer premises product lines were adversely affected. The defendants allegedly took advantage of this undisclosed information by selling large amounts of their personal AVT shares while at the same time concealing adverse information about the Company from the public.
