THE wife of ex-Celtic goalie Magnus Hedman has told how she was tortured, beaten and shot at by her crime boss first husband.

Magdalena Graaf was even left fearing for the life of her first child after one evil attack while pregnant.

In a harrowing new autobiography, the model and former pop star has revealed how she endured a catalogue of abuse at the hands of a gangster called Jon.

Magdalena, 32, describes how, after she was kicked to the floor, her abusive partner flipped when she told him she was leaving.

She said: "That was a mistake. He grabbed hold of my handbag and kept beating me with it until the shoulder strap broke, then he turned and walked back into the bedroom. Trembling with fear I went out and closed the front door behind me.

"Was it dead now, the tiny baby I had just found out I was carrying inside me? I hugged my stomach and lay down to sleep on the bench next to the bus stop."

The next day her soon-to-be husband was full of remorse and Magdalena agreed to go ahead with the wedding - the biggest mistake of her life.

Jon, a 6ft 2in steroid-using fitness fanatic, would later beat her senseless, verbally abuse her - and once even shot at her. He slept with a gun under his pillow and when Magdalena tried to fight back he threatened to shoot her dad and send his henchmen to rape her sister.

The abuse continued on-and-off for two-and-a-half years before Magdalena fled with her son.

The day before she plucked up the courage to leave Jon, he told her with relish: "Killing you will be a real pleasure" - a threat she used as the title of her book.

In it, she tells how she was forced to move from refuge to refuge across Sweden as her crazed husband tried to track her down - even putting a contract out on her life with a notorious biker gang.

Jon was finally arrested and jailed, yet his threats continued from behind bars.

But Magdalena had had enough and confronted her hubby, agreeing a tentative truce. She said: "Where I got my courage and my willpower from I don't know."

Magdalena then threw herself into a modelling career and had pop success with her sister Hannah. She went on to marry Magnus Hedman, Celtic keeper from 2002 to 2005, in 1999.
