Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine Plan Donations to Non-Profit Groups From Rhyme & Reason 2000 Tour.

Beastie Boys Beastie Boys is a hip hop musical group from New York City consisting of Michael "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "MCA" Yauch, Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz and the official DJ for the group Michael "Mix Master Mike" Schwartz.  and Rage Against The Machine, whose RHYME rhyme or rime, the most prominent of the literary artifices used in versification. Although it was used in ancient East Asian poetry, rhyme was practically unknown to the ancient Greeks and Romans.  & REASON 2000 tour begins August 2 in Toronto Toronto (tərŏn`tō), city (1998 est pop. 2,400,000), provincial capital, S Ont., Canada, on Lake Ontario. Toronto is the largest city in Canada and since the 1970s has been one of the fastest-changing cities in North America, experiencing , have announced plans for donations from tour proceeds to a variety of non-profit charitable and social action organizations.

Rage and Beastie Boys will each donate one dollar per ticket sold to a broad array of local charities and activist groups. Rage's total donations will be distributed at the conclusion of the tour through the Rage Against The Machine Foundation. Beastie Boys will donate their contributions to The Milarepa Milarepa (mĭlär`əpə), 1040–1143, saint and poet of Tibetan Buddhism. Earlier this year, the RATM RATM Rage Against The Machine (band)  Foundation distributed more than $350,000 from the proceeds of the band's 1999 "Battle of Los Angeles For other uses, see Battle of Los Angeles (disambiguation).
