BearingPoint Selected for Kazakhstan Pension Project.

MCLEAN, Va. -- BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE:BE), one of the world's largest management and technology consulting firms, today announced it is working with the state-owned Accumulation Pension Fund (GNPF) of Kazakhstan ahead of preparations for GNPF's privatization.

BearingPoint's ability to design, implement and consult on measures for restructuring and streamlining government initiatives in emerging markets will be put to good use in this project which will focus on corporate governance and organisational restructuring; an operational review; the introduction of a comprehensive risk management system; and a strategic review focusing on marketing and business development for GNPF. The firm will provide consulting and technical staff from bases across Europe and North America, with the Emerging Markets team in London providing the management support for the whole project. The London-based team is also charged with ensuring that the very best team to meet the complex challenges of this task is put in place.
