The Berenstain Bear family is showing off its faith with a new line of 12 books from Zonderkidz. The first four books were released last fall and focus on the golden rule, going to Sunday school, saying their prayers, and "God loves you."

The new series is written by Michael Berenstain, son of the original authors, Stan and Jan Berenstain, who published their first book about a bear family in 1962. "Over the years my parents and I often heard from Christian families how much they appreciate the values-based themes of our books," Michael says. "By dealing with religion through the fun and laughter of the Berenstain Bears, we hope to nurture these families in their goal of raising children secure in their faith."
