BearCom Releases 2009 Wireless Technology Report.

Special Issue of BearCom's Magazine, Today's Wireless World, Highlights Past, Present, and Future of Wireless Technology

DALLAS -- BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment, solutions, and service, today released its 2009 Wireless Technology Report.

The report is divided into three primary sections, providing readers with three unique perspectives of the wireless industry: its history, its current state, and its future. A number of types of wireless technologies are discussed, from handheld devices such as two-way radios, smartphones, mobile broadband cards, and scanners to integrated solutions such as automated license plate recognition cameras, radio interoperability systems, IP video surveillance networks, and emergency communications solutions.

This special issue of BearCom's magazine, Today's Wireless World, is 48 pages in length and is written for a general audience. As with all issues of the magazine, the 2009 Wireless Technology Report features wireless products and solutions from some of the most innovative companies in the world, including Motorola, Icom, Sprint Nextel, Research In Motion, PIPS Technology, Raytheon JPS, Zetron, Sony, BridgeWave Communications, Firetide, OTTO, Honeywell Batteries, and IMPACT Radio, just to name a few. In addition to several BearCom executives, thought leaders representing a number of wireless equipment manufacturers and industry organizations are quoted in the report, including visionaries from Motorola, Icom, Sprint Nextel, and the Enterprise Wireless Alliance.

"The 2009 Wireless Technology Report is a fascinating look at how wireless technology has impacted all of our personal and professional lives, from the invention of the first wireless telephone device in 1902 by an eccentric melon farmer in Kentucky to various wireless industry analysts' predictions for 2009 and well beyond," said Kent Huffman, Chief Marketing Officer at BearCom and Co-Publisher of Today's Wireless World magazine. "The use of wireless technology has become ubiquitous around the world in a relatively short period of time. And we expect the so-called 'wireless revolution' to continue for many years to come."

An electronic copy of the 2009 Wireless Technology Report can be downloaded for free from BearCom's Web site at www.BearCom.Com/resource-library. Although printed quantities are limited, requests for free hard-copy samples of the report should be sent by e-mail to TodaysWirelessWorld@BearCom.com.
