Bear Stearns to Become Full Member of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.


TOKYO -- Bear Stearns (Japan), Ltd. announced today it will become a full member of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tokyo Stock Exchange

Main stock market of Japan, located in Tokyo. It opened in 1878 to provide a market for the trading of government bonds newly issued to former samurai.

Full membership will give Bear Stearns direct access to Asia's largest stock exchange, enabling the firm to execute Japanese equity trades more quickly and with greater efficiency.
