Bear Stearns expands Emerging Markets Equity Research effort.


NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1995--Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. announced today that Santiago (Sandy) Pique has joined the firm as an associate director in the Emerging Markets Equity Research Department covering conglomerates and transportation companies. Also joining the department is Jeffry Taylor as a vice president and junior strategist, who will be working directly with Geoffrey Dennis, the equity strategist for Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. . Jose Levy Jose Levy (1884? - October 6, 1936) was the theatre practitioner who attempted to import the ghoulish and grisly Grand Guignol aesthetic for London audiences.

Levy was born in Portsmouth, England and educated at the Ecole de Commerce, Lausanne.
 will be joining the department as vice president covering the steel and auto sector.

Sandy Pique joins Bear Stearns from Reed Telepublishing, the business, reference and travel information subsidiary of Reed-Elsevier, where he was chief financial officer. Previously, Mr. Pique was with American Express and served for four years as chief financial officer of that firm's Mexico operations.

Jeffry Taylor joins the firm from Natwest Securities Corporation in Washington DC, where he was the chief economist and investment strategist for Latin America. Previously he was a senior economist and country risk analyst covering Latin America with the Export-Import Bank of the United States Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank)
