Bear Stearns Bolsters European Fixed Income Sales Team.

Bear, Stearns International Limited (BSIL) today announced that six fixed income sales professionals have joined the firm in London. The group includes Managing Directors Gilles Albou, Volker Vogler, Chris Vujnovich and Jeff Crowne and Associate Directors Sylvain Davoine and Jo Whitefoot. They report to Jerome Camblain, senior managing director and head of fixed income distribution for Europe. Mr. Crowne also reports to Gilles Bransbourg, head of European foreign exchange sales.
Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Camblain said, "This is a first wave of hiring in fixed income sales. Bear Stearns is committed to building a stronger presence in Europe and we are simultaneously increasing staff in sales, origination and trading. I am delighted that we have attracted these talented professionals to our team."
Mr. Albou joins the firm's French coverage team from Park Place Capital. He previously spent many years at Tokyo Mitsubishi International and Salomon Brothers. Mr. Vogler joins the Germany team from Nomura Securities. Prior to that he was with Trinkaus & Burkhardt in Dusseldorf. Mr. Vujnovich joins the fixed income derivatives sales effort after three years at UBS. Mr. Crowne comes to Bear Stearns' foreign exchange sales team from AIG Trading.
Mr. Davoine joins the French coverage team from Deutsche Bank. He was previously with Bankers Trust. Mr. Whitefoot joins the United Kingdom team from Credit Lyonnais.
