Bear River Develops Palm Schedule Application for BART.

The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is a heavy rail public rapid-transit system serving the San Francisco Bay Area.
 District (BART) recently released a Palm schedule application. Now BART customers with a Palm(TM) OS compatible device can conveniently check train schedules, view a system map or look up station information anytime, anywhere. The application is available for free on BART's web site at http://www.bart.gov/.

"Time and convenience are top priorities for our customers," said Timothy Moore, web site manager for BART. "This application is the perfect tool for riders who are constantly on the go and want the flexibility to easily rearrange their schedule."

The application and the associated software used to update schedules were developed by Bear River Associates, Inc. working closely The Linde Group. Bear River is an Oakland-based company that has focused on mobile, wireless and web development for last five years. They are located on the web at http://www.bearriver.com/.  Meadow, the application was developed using Bear River's Open Source C++ framework for the Palm known as paf. This framework has been used to develop other Palm applications including one for YourSherpa.com, an innovative system to make shopping more appealing and less burdensome.
