Many years in the making, including a significant commitment of local funds and the use of a state grant, the library construction and renovation project was completed in November November: see month. , 1999. The last 10 years have seen an increase in visits to the library, in usage of library materials and in programs and services to the public of all ages. In a press release, the trustees note that the town should be "rightfully proud of what has been accomplished at and through the Beaman Public Library over the past 10 years and may look forward to more great services throughout the next decade."
