Beacon Power CEO Bill Capp to Present at Three Technology Investor Conferences in September.

TYNGSBORO, Mass. -- Beacon Power Corporation (Nasdaq: BCON) announced that Bill Capp, its president and CEO, will give presentations at three clean technology investor conferences on consecutive days in early September, one of which will be webcast live.

The presentations will take place as Beacon continues to commercialize its flywheel energy storage technology for use in grid-scale frequency regulation service. The Company is now providing two megawatts of revenue-generating frequency regulation capacity on the New England grid, and has announced its intention to build a 20-megawatt regulation plant in Stephentown, New York. Beacon was also recently offered a $43 million conditional loan guarantee commitment from the U.S. Department of Energy to support construction of that plant.

1) Cleantech Forum XXIII - Sept. 9, 2009; 5:00 to 6:00 pm - Boston, Mass.

The Cleantech Forums are the longest-running and largest annual assemblies of global leaders of the clean technology sector. More than 600 of the world's clean technology leaders are expected to attend the Boston event. Bill Capp will take part in a panel discussion on the topic of "Entrepreneurship and Innovation." The panel will address some of the challenges faced by start-up companies, including the process of navigating government loan guarantee programs.

2) Kaufman Brothers 12th Annual Investor Conference - Sept. 10, 2009 - New York, NY
