Beach boy could be up for Gold.


AN ASTON schoolboy has been flagged up as a potential Olympic beach medallist after fooling around at a Butlins holiday camp.

Beach volleyball is an Olympic team sport played on sand. Two teams, positioned on either side of a net which divides a rectangular court, hit a volleyball, usually using the hands or arms.
 and Football teams picked out nine year old Connor Dustston after he joined in a training session in Minehead.

Terry Bowes, of the England Beach Soccer Team, said: "Connor showed real natural talent and with some professional training at a local club we might be looking at a future contender for London 2012."

The beach activities also included ultimate frisbee, archery archery, sport of shooting with bow and arrow, an important military and hunting skill before the introduction of gunpowder. England's Charles II fostered archery as sport, establishing in 1673 the world's oldest continuous archery tournament, the Ancient Scorton  and wall climbing.

All the activities took place on the Resort's new man-made beach court.
