BeWell Mobile Named Finalist For National Healthcare Innovation Award; Company Employs Cellphones To Improve Patient/Physician Interaction.


SAN FRANCISCO San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  -- BeWell Mobile Technology, which provides patient engagement software for the healthcare industry to help patients manage their health and to provide valid data to those who care for them, has been named a finalist for the prestigious ABBY, awarded annually to organizations that demonstrate dramatic improvements in the way healthcare is delivered.

The winner will be named at the eighth annual awards ceremony of the Adaptive Business Leaders Organization (ABL) on June 7 in Long Beach, CA. BeWell was nominated for its innovative use of cellphone (CELLular telePHONE) The first ubiquitous wireless telephone. Originally analog, all new cellular systems are digital, which has enabled the cellphone to turn into a smartphone that has access to the Internet.  technology in the management of chronic diseases and in the provision of patient outreach communication and medical research support.

It is a commercial and retail center with some high-technology manufacturing. San Mateo, Spanish for St.  (CA) County with asthmatic youth.

BeWell provides a mobile technology platform that combines flexibility, immediacy, choice, real-time availability and cost- effectiveness to patients and those who treat them. By employing cellphones, BeWell collects relevant, real-time data from patients where they are. As a result, healthcare providers can track an individual patient's progress and determine if intervention is required. At the same time, patients have access to information that helps them stay in touch with their goals and knowledgeable about their regimen.
