BeOpen.com, the Open Source Application Company, announced today that it has acquired LinuxDev.Net, a leading Linux developer and Open Source website.

LinuxDev.Net's acquisition further strengthens BeOpen.com's position in Open Source markets. The Company is dedicated to building Open Source application communities for the Linux, HP-UX HP's version of Unix that runs on its 9000 family. It is based on SVID and incorporates features from BSD Unix along with several HP innovations.
