Children can enjoy free World Cup family fun this May half-term as the MetroGnomes return in a sporty event to get us ready for the World Cup fever which is sweeping the country.

Every day until Sunday, June 4, children can join Herbert, Sherbet sher·bet

The star of the show, which takes place in Town Square outside House of Fraser House of Fraser is a British department store group with 61 stores (July 2007) across the country. The group was founded in Glasgow in 1849. The flagship London store is now the House of Fraser on Oxford Street whilst the largest is in Birmingham.  is the famous Softball Penalty Shootout. Everyone can join the fun and try to knock our five goalies down as children pit their skills against the giant Olympic clock.

The fastest time in each session will win a pounds 5 MetroCentre Gift Voucher.

Throughout June and July the MetroCentre will entertain families with a programme of events for World Cup Wednesdays.

Events include decorated malls, ball skills fun and mini training sessions, the chance to talk to World Cup-winning legend Jack Charlton, plus Peter Beardsley and Peter Shilton, and for the ladies For the Ladies is a extended play by Machine Gun Fellatio.
