Be a business Titan Kevin Harrington's success tips.

Kevin Harrington knows products and how to sell them. He has produced more than 500 infomercials with product sales of more than $4 billion. Today, as one of the "sharks" in ABC's new reality business show Shark Tank, Harrington and a panel of other multimillionaires evaluate pitches from aspiring entrepreneurs, offer advice and decide whether to invest their own money in the businesses.

Harrington shares tips on achieving success as an entrepreneur in his new book, Act Now! How I Turn Ideas into Million-Dollar Products.

* Don't take no. "No doesn't necessarily mean never. Sometimes it means, 'You haven't offered me something irresistible. You haven't offered me something I can't afford to turn down.' "

* Lead your team. "It is important to have the right people in place, but you have to stay hands-on. Give rope, but stay on top of the decisions being made."

* Testimonials carry clout. "There's no point in designing advertising and promotion in which you praise the product yourself if you can get the believability of enthusiastic real people praising the product for you."

* Seek counsel wisely. "Be careful about putting too much trust in someone who's only been in business during an up cycle. He or she may not know what precautions to put into place so that the business can continue to function when an inevitable down cycle hits."
