SHE is known for her huge designer handbag collection, but Coleen McLoughlin's latest armcandy is about to make her biggest statement yet.

For, while we may be more used to seeing her carrying around Chloe and Prada's most-wanted, the fashion icon has now designed her own environmentally friendly Environmentally friendly, also referred to as nature friendly, is a term used to refer to goods and services considered to inflict minimal harm on the environment.[1]  bag for life to help raise much-needed funds for Alder Hey Children's Hospital Alder Hey Children's Hospital is a children's hospital in West Derby, Liverpool. It is run by the Royal Liverpool Children's NHS Trust as part of the UK National Health Service. .

And the bag could not be going on sale at a better time, as Prime Minister Gordon Brown this week urged a complete ban on single use plastic bags to cut back on the billions that end up in landfill sites every year.

For Coleen, who, along with fiance Wayne Rooney, is a regular supporter of Alder Hey Hospital, helping to design the bag was an opportunity she could not pass up. As one of Europe's largest children's hospitals, Alder Hey cares for around 200,000 children every year for everything from broken bones to more complex conditions like cancer and heart disease. Around one in three children on Merseyside will come into contact with Alder Hey at some point in their lives.

Says Coleen: "I was made up to be approached about this bag as Alder Hey is very close to my heart. Raising money for sick children and doing your bit for the environment at the same time has to be a winner."

The bag for life is on sale now and will only be available from stores within Clayton Square shopping centre in Liverpool and thanks to Coleen's design the bag is not only 100% environmentally friendly but it is also super stylish.

Every retailer within Clayton Square shopping centre will be stocking the ultra stylish bags in store and it is hoped they will raise pounds 30,000 for Alder Hey's Imagine Appeal.

The bags cost just pounds 4 (not a bad price to pay for helping save the Earth) but even better than that we have got a bag to give away to one lucky reader which will be filled with goodies from Clayton Square's many fabulous shops which include Boots, Accessorize ac·ces·sor·ize
