Be Your Own DJ: Launch Media CEO Talks to IT Radio Network.

Business Editors

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 15, 2000

IT Radio Network, the leading Internet radio network focused on information technology news, is now featuring an in-depth interview with David Goldberg, chief executive officer of Launch Media (Nasdaq:LAUN).

During the interview, Goldberg discussed Launch Media, its multiple delivery vehicles and music personalization.

Goldberg discussed the thought process behind the creation of Launch Media. "The idea from the very beginning was always to use computers in a much better way for people to learn about music," said Goldberg. "The computer would give people the opportunity to control the music that they were hearing, because people love music, but nobody likes anyone else's music."

During the interview, Goldberg discussed how the introduction of the Web allowed the company to expand upon its original delivery model, the CD Rom. "Now we are starting to deliver our content to wireless devices," said Goldberg. "I don't think it's necessarily an HTML HTML

page that's going to be the ultimate delivery vehicle. I think we are focused on delivering music to people the way they want it."

Goldberg also discussed how Launch.com allows its users to customize their music to their own tastes. "It is really your own customized radio station that you control the experience, you start streaming music on your PC that you can listen to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you can rate the music you're listening to," said Goldberg. "Launch Cast learns your tastes over time, and it starts playing music, even stuff you haven't rated, but it can guess that you'd probably like."

The entire interview is available free online in RealAudio (Nasdaq:RNWK RNWK Real Networks (stock symbol) ) and text at www.ITRadioNetwork.com.
