Industry veterans Larry Namer, founder of E! Entertainment Television, and Jan Smith, former president of Disney Interactive Worldwide and Buena Vista Game and Entertainment Studio, will help the company, which is the leading multimedia developer and product resource center for women undertaking home improvement projects, in further developing its media, broadcast, and merchandising strategy.

Larry Namer is a noted entertainment industry veteran who founded and developed some of Hollywood's most renowned broadcast and content development companies, including E! Entertainment Television Inc., Movies USA Magazine, and Comspan Communications.

As President and CEO, Namer guided E! Entertainment Television from its initial launch as Movietime Channel Inc. as it expanded to include 11 international markets and a successful radio show, syndicated in over 110 markets. After that, he founded Comspan Communications Inc (CCI), one of the industry's foremost strategic planning and consulting firms for the cable television and new media industries. CCI has developed the business plans and models for many new niche and enhanced cable television networks, and the organization remains one of the industry's premier independent television network development companies. In the mid nineties, he was the primary consultant to MITV (Microsoft Interactive Television) and helped pioneer the introduction of new technologies into the television viewing experience and the underlying business models affecting the industry.

Namer will play a pivotal role on the Be Jane Advisory Board, where he will oversee media strategy for the organization and help to pursue alliances within the areas of video-on-demand, network and cable television, radio, and broadband content applications.

Jan Smith is a 16-year senior executive veteran of entertainment and creative business development with The Walt Disney Company. As both former President of Disney Interactive Worldwide and President of Buena Vista Game and Entertainment Studio, Smith has proven skills as a corporate entrepreneur leading the creation, development and growth of several diverse business units for the company.

While at the helm of Disney Interactive Worldwide, she successfully implemented a global turnaround and firmly established Disney's leadership position in the interactive entertainment segment. Her creative vision led to the expansion of content development across multiple technology platforms. Prior to joining Disney Interactive, Smith was vice president and group publisher of Disney Publishing, and was instrumental in the introduction and growth of several new book businesses.

In 1987, Smith was part of a select start-up team that went on to launch The Disney Store division, where she was able to utilize her experience and skills in mass merchandising and department store retailing. Prior to joining Disney, she was involved in the formation and launch of Target Stores on the West Coast for the Dayton Hudson Corporation, and held senior-level positions with Ohrbach's, a major department store chain.

Smith will augment Be Jane's creative media and merchandising strategy, as well as assist in pursuing additional strategic relationships within the interactive media and content sector.
