Bayview Technology Group Announces $75 Rebate on Vending Machine Energy Savers.

With the help of an innovative energy savings device for coin-operated soda machines called the VendingMiser from Bayview Technology Group, and participation from Connecticut and Massachusetts, energy conservation is getting a boost.

VendingMiser is an activity-based plug-load control for coin-operated cold drink vending machines vending machine, coin-operated, automatic device for selling goods. Many vending machines are capable of making change, and some of the more sophisticated ones accept paper money or credit cards. , which greatly reduces energy consumption without affecting the product. VendingMiser powers down a vending machine when there is no activity. Additionally, VendingMiser's smart technology monitors the room temperature and will automatically re-power the machine to ensure a cold beverage will be served at any time.

Connecticut Light & Power and Western Massachusetts Electric Company are offering a $75 rebate rebate, partial refund of the total price paid for goods or services. In the United States, rebates were historically given by railroads to favored shippers as a return on transportation charges.  through the end of 2003 for the purchase of vending machine occupancy sensors

On average, each vending machine consumes 3,500 kWh per year. Considering that the state of Connecticut's average rate is $.11/kWh, one machine costs roughly $385 in electricity each year. VendingMiser reduces the electricity costs of cold drink vending machines by an average of 46 percent.
