Bayshore Media, Inc. To Sponsor 2nd Annual Charity Wiffle-Ball Tournament.

LARGO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 2001

Bayshore Media, Inc., a full service marketing firm, today announced it is sponsoring the 2nd Annual "Muddy's World Series of Wiffle-Ball" Tournament to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay Tampa Bay, inlet of the Gulf of Mexico, 25 mi (40 km) long and 7 to 12 mi (11.3–19 km) wide, W Fla., separated from the Gulf by numerous small islands; it receives the Hillsborough River. St. , August 4th, at the Whitesell Softball Complex in Largo.

The event includes a 16-team Wiffle-Ball Tournament and a Home Run Derby This is about the Major League Baseball contest. For the 1959 television show of the same name, see Home Run Derby (TV series).

The Home Run Derby is an event played prior to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

 Tournament Chairman, Stephen "Muddy" Watters, more than a dozen corporations are involved in the event. The tournament is being held to raise essential operating dollars for the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay.

The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay, is a not-for-profit organization that provides a "home-away-from-home" for families with children receiving medical treatment in bay area hospitals. In its three locations, adjacent to All Children's Hospital All Children's Hospital is the only freestanding children’s hospital on Florida’s West Coast and a leader in pediatric treatment, education, research and advocacy.  in St. Petersburg and Tampa General Hospital in Tampa. The House has provided comfort and care to more than 20,000 families since 1980.
