Bayou Rouge Mitigation Area to Offset Impacts from Denbury Onshore's Green Pipeline.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Resource Environmental Solutions LLC (RES) has been selected by Denbury Onshore LLC, a Denbury Resources Inc (NYSE:DNR) company, to develop a turnkey project-specific compensatory mitigation solution for a CO2 pipeline from Donaldsonville, Louisiana to the Louisiana state line. Called the Green Pipeline, RES will mitigate wetlands affected by construction of right-of-way to facilitate the installation of a 210-mile section of the 24-inch CO2 pipeline originating near Donaldsonville, LA and traversing Iberville, West Baton Rouge, Pointe Coupee, St. Landry, Acadia, Jefferson Davis, Allen and Calcasieu Parishes.

RES identified a suitable site and developed mitigation plans that were accepted for permitting by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Approved mitigation activities associated with the project's wetlands impacts also are beneficial to the health and sustainability of the threatened Louisiana Black Bear. Known as the Bayou Rouge Mitigation Area (BRMA), RES will restore acquired land to a bottomland hardwood forest and bald cypress swamp by restoring surface hydrology, conducting tree and vegetation plantings, and providing effective management throughout the life of the BRMA. In addition to mitigating any wetlands impacts, the restored forests and swamps provide more protected travel corridors for the Black Bear.

From needs assessment through Corps' approval, RES executed the entire approval process in less than 90 days including site selection, coordination with all state and federal agencies, putting up financial assurances, developing and gaining approval of a suitable mitigation plan.
