On Friday, Oct 9, at 7:30 pm, John Maxwell Taylor will appear at BayLight Church of Religious Science in the critically acclaimed play, "Forever Jung, The Mystical Journey of Carl Jung." This 20-character one-man play takes you on an intimate tour deep into the dramatic life and loves of Carl G. Jung. The NAAP (Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis) gave Taylor a Gradiva(R) Award for his portrayal of Jung in this play, which he also co-wrote. About John Maxwell Taylor

Welsh-born John Maxwell Taylor is perhaps best known in this country as a rock guitarist for the 1960s. An early rock pioneer, his bands opened for The Beatles and Rolling Stones, and performed with Chuck Berry, Gene Vincent, Jimmy Page and others. He has Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to thank for steering him into acting and for his interest in Carl Jung. Webber and Rice were producing Taylor's latest rock album when "Jesus Christ Superstar" hit it big in the UK and USA. Webber and Rice quit to take advantage of their big break, and the sudden abandonment sent Taylor to the Isle of Anglesey, off the northwest coast of Wales, to rethink his life and career. His introspection and spiritual awakening led to an interest in the teachings of Swiss psychologist, Carl Gustav Jung. This inspired him to create "transformational theater" such as "Forever Jung." He received classical actor training in England and has enjoyed a post-rocker career on the stage, performing the works of Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw among others.
