It is an industrial center and a road and rail junction. , Germany, and Degussa AG, Dusseldorf, Germany, are selling PolymerLatex GmbH, their Marl, Germany-based 50:50 joint venture, to the financial investment company Soros Private Equity Partners for approximately $235 million. The sale of PolymerLatex completes the divestment divestment to strip one's investment from an entity.  program which Bayer launched at the end of 2001 as part of its group-wide reorganization and strategic realigmnent projects.
