Bayer MaterialScience builds new production facilities in China.

Bayer MaterialScience will build two new production facilities near Shanghai for polyurethane and coating raw materials. By 2006, a production facility for hexamethylene (HDI) and a production plant and logistics facilities for diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) will be built in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in Caojing. These two projects represent a total investment of approximately $200 million.
