Therban(R) developmental product, Therban HT VP KA 8805, was developed to perform in temperatures up to 165 degrees C.

Retaining more than 50 percent of its properties at 150 degrees C for up to or nearly twice as long as other HNBR compounds, Therban HT is ideal for automotive parts that require superior performance in high temperatures.

"In automotive applications, Therban HT withstands the high temperatures of today's fuel-efficient systems," said Brian McCue, Product Manager, Therban. "We have found that Therban HT technology enhances resistance to lubricating oils with aggressive additives. Seals, hoses and belts made with Therban HT could last twice as long compared to parts made with other grades of HNBR."
