Bay ferry operator builds relationship with IBU.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 1997--Thomas C. Escher, who is purchasing the Red & White Fleet name and three vessels from Crowley Maritime Crowley Maritime Corporation, based in Oakland, CA, and founded in 1892, is primarily a family and employee-owned company that provides transportation and logistics services in U.S.  Corporation, has announced the signing of a letter of agreement with the Inland Boatman's Union.

 will represent captains, deckhands and ticket agents for all new Red & White Fleet operations on San Francisco Bay San Francisco Bay, 50 mi (80 km) long and from 3 to 13 mi (4.8–21 km) wide, W Calif.; entered through the Golden Gate, a strait between two peninsulas.  following the purchase.
