SAUSALITO, Calif. -- Bay and Delta Yacht Charters (BDYC), providers of the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  Bay's most popular luxury motor yacht charters and specialty cruises, today announced its plans for fleet expansion and addition of The Sausalito Empress. The Empress is a unique 90-foot motor yacht, designed for luxury entertaining up to 149 passengers in style and comfort.

Built in 2003, The Empress has two deck levels featuring an elegant wooden interior and dance floor, a main lounge with leather furnishings, large dining room for formal dining, an exceptional sound system, two full service bars, spacious decks, three beautiful restrooms, and a commercial kitchen for gourmet catering and buffet.

A native of San Francisco, Captain Gerry first learned to sail at age 5 on the family's 25-ft sloop sloop, fore-and-aft-rigged, single-masted sailing vessel with a single headsail jib. A sloop differs from a cutter in that it has a jibstay—a support leading from the bow to the masthead on which the jib is set. . At age 20, he bought his first racing sail boat, a one-of-a-kind Phil Rhodes design named Xanadu. He raced the 50-foot yawl in many regattas including the San Francisco Master Mariner's. His local rival was the Santana, a yacht once owned by Humphrey Bogart. On one of his many sailing trips to Mexico, his son Bradley first learned to walk -- wobbling wobbling Vox populi Ataxia, see there  ashore with sailor's sea legs.
