Bay Street Emeryville Signs Lease to Add P.F. Chang's Mixed-Use Center; Celebrates One Year Anniversary with More New Stores and Healthy Sales.

Celebrating a one-year anniversary this month, more stores are scheduled to open and current tenants report strong sales at Bay Street Emeryville, the new 20-acre mixed-use center located in Emeryville, Calif. Just signed, P.F. Chang's China Bistro is scheduled to open at Bay Street in summer 2004. Bombay and JS Keepsake Fine Jewelers opened last week and Steve Madden and Uptown Jean Co. are scheduled to open later this month.

Scheduled to open in summer 2004 is a 7,323 square foot P.F. Chang's China Bistro. Guests of P.F. Chang's experience a unique combination of Chinese cuisine, attentive service, an award winning wine list and tempting desserts all served in a stylish bistro setting.

Bombay just opened a 4,743 square foot Bay Street Emeryville store last week. Bombay offers classic and traditional furniture, as well as coordinating accessories, wall decor and gifts for the home.

Steven Madden, Ltd., a leading designer of fashion-forward footwear for women, men and children is set to open a Steve Madden retail store at Bay Street in early December.

Uptown Jean Co., purveyor of upscale men's and women's denim wear, is set to open in early December.

JS Keepsake Fine Jewelers just opened a Bay Street location late November. Established in 1968, JS Keepsake is a family owned and operated jeweler that specializes in diamond and platinum jewelry.

Bay Street currently offers a 16-screen movie theatre, nine restaurants and more than 50 stores. The first phase of apartments should be available late next year. Jill, Magnolia Hi-Fi, Old Navy, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Sunglass Hut, Talbots, The Body Shop, Tri-Lu's Salon & Spa, Williams-Sonoma, Victoria's Secret and more. The development team for Bay Street consists of Madison Marquette, an affiliate of international investment firm Capital Guidance Corporation, with the financial backing of California Urban Investment Partners (CUIP is a $700 million joint venture between MacFarlane Partners and the California Public Employees' Retirement System).
