Bay Crest Partners Launches Summer Internship Program.

Intensive Program Includes Financial Training, Community Service, Lecture series

NEW YORK -- Bay Crest Partners LLC, an independent institutional brokerage and boutique equity research firm, today announced an intensive summer internship program to prepare qualified college students for jobs in the financial industry. The program this year consists of 13 interns and will last for 10 weeks, from June 1 through the week of August 7.

"Internship programs remain an integral part of a young person's preparation when it comes to learning a business and joining the workforce," said William Mulligan, Principal at Bay Crest Partners. "In the financial industry, many of the larger institutions have constrained resources for summer intern programs. By expanding our program, we are providing students with an exceptional opportunity to prepare themselves for working in the financial industry and for giving back to the communities in which they will eventually reside."

The basic program will consist of four different Bay Crest business courses through which the interns will rotate: The New York Stock Exchange, NYSE Alternext, the Bay Crest Trading Desk and Research Department, and Bay Crest Infrastructure and Support. In addition to experiencing each of these elements of Bay Crest's day-to-day operations, the interns will attend lectures twice a week on basic financial and business concepts. The interns will also work with some of Bay Crest's key vendors in order to learn the skills necessary to operate in Bay Crest's fast-paced environment, including training seminars with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and Greico Financial Training.

In early July the interns will separate into teams to begin a community service project. The teams will work together with community service organizations and will also participate in fundraising operations, with a prize being awarded to the team most successful in raising funds for its organization.
