The company developed the report using data collected from its more than 480,000 members nationwide (including 32,000 on bayarea.techies.com), as well as 1,600 client companies nationwide who post jobs on the site.

"The technical professional represents the most in-demand professional workforce in the nation," explained Don Krueger, techies.com's Director of Data and Research Solutions. "That makes it even more important to have a clear understanding of the supply and demand of these professionals, from a fiscal, skill and regional perspective. As a result, techies.com developed this report to help give hiring companies a sampling of the dynamics of the technology marketplace."
