, Chairman of the Board of Bay Area Bancshares (Bulletin Board: BYAR) announced that the Board of Directors Declared a cash dividend of $0.11 per share to common stock shareholders of record as of March 31,1999. This dividend is the Company's 30th quarterly cash dividend and is payable April 9, 1999.
