Preferred stock is given preference over common stock. Holders of preferred stock receive dividends at a fixed annual rate. . The Common Stock quarterly dividend of $0.40 per share is payable Oct. 14 to shareholders of record on Sept. 30 and is equivalent to an annual dividend of $1.60 per share.
