Phyllis Schoof of Spencer, a nurse for the agency, received the Team Award, given to employees who work together to provide structured and compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities. Ms. Schoof works especially hard to ensure that these individuals receive the highest quality health care. The awards were presented in front of 350 HMEA staff, individuals with developmental disabilities, family members and volunteers at the 18th annual Awards Night program at the Doubletree Hotel in Milford Oct. 2.
