) has filed a lawsuit against Ciba Vision Corporation for infringement of Bausch & Lomb's patent rights to extended wear soft contact lenses.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of the Department of Commerce issued Bausch & Lomb patent number 6,312,706 yesterday, November 6, 2001, after which Bausch & Lomb filed suit against Ciba Vision in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York New York, state, United States
