Rivera joined Bausch & Lomb in 1989 as a senior financial analyst and held management posts in Corporate Treasury, Investor Relations and Finance before becoming vice president and controller of the former Vision Care business in 1998. In August 2001, he was named president of Bausch & Lomb Latin America and general manager of Bausch & Lomb Mexico; in November 2001, Rivera added responsibility for commercial operations in Canada. In January 2002, he was elected a corporate officer and was named corporate vice president and president of Bausch & Lomb Latin America and Canada. Rivera has an MBA in Finance from the William E.
