Bausch & Lomb Launches TV Campaign, Sweepstakes and New Web Site for PureVision(TM) Soft Contact Lenses; Get a Free Trial Pair of PureVision(TM) Contacts, Enter Sweepstakes at Purevision.com.


ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Bausch & Lomb announces a national multi-media consumer advertising campaign for its PureVision(TM) soft contact lens contact lens, thin plastic lens worn between the eye and eyelid that may be used instead of eyeglasses. Actors, models, and others wear them for appearance, and athletes use them for safety and convenience.  starting Monday, August 8. Among other elements, this campaign comprises a 30-second ad that will air on network and cable TV stations across the U.S., and it can also be viewed on Monday at www.bausch.com.

In addition to providing exceptional comfort and health benefits, the PureVision soft contact lens is designed to correct nearsightedness nearsightedness or myopia, defect of vision in which far objects appear blurred but near objects are seen clearly. Because the eyeball is too long or the refractive power of the eye's lens is too strong, the image is focused in front of the  and farsightedness and also reduce spherical aberration, a higher order aberration of the eye that is one of the factors that can affect visual quality in low-light conditions.
