Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. in Los Angeles Superior Court in three wrongful death claims against Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Bell Technical Services, Inc. and the Estate of Robert A. Gustafson arising from the 1998 Bell helicopter crash in Los Angeles. The helicopter was airlifting an injured child when the tail rotor yoke failed and caused the aircraft to crash, killing four and injuring two. The trial for the deaths of veteran LAFD employees, Michael Butler, Eric Reiner and Michael McComb, is before the Hon. David Workman. Punitive damages are being sought in this case.
