Bauer Publishing's Teen Group Sees Strong Growth in 2004.


ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- Bauer Publishing, the number one seller of magazines on the newsstand in the United States, today announced it's Teen Group's numbers for the second half of 2004. The Teen Group, which includes J-14, M and Twist, increased 8 percent in total circulation during the second half of 2004.

"Today's announcement reinforces Bauer Publishing's strong leadership position in the teen marketplace," said Hubert Boehle, COO and president, Bauer Publishing. "With our strong focus on the newsstand coupled with our editorial approach, we are confident in the long-term growth of our teen division."

Overall Results for Second Half of 2004 versus 2003:

J-14

--Total Circulation: 615,695 copies sold in the second half of 2004 versus 588,351 during the same period in 2003, a total increase of 4.6 percent.

--Newsstand Numbers: 451,588 copies on the newsstand in the second half of 2004 versus 422,056 in 2003, a total increase of 7 percent.

M

--Total Circulation: 414,455 copies sold in the second half of 2004 versus 362,724 during the same period in 2003, a total increase of 14.3 percent.

--Newsstand Numbers: 385,952 copies on the newsstand in the second half of 2004 versus 340,309 in 2003, an increase of 13.4 percent.

Twist:

--Total Circulation: 222,921 copies sold in the second half of 2004 versus 226,527 during the same period in 2003.

--Newsstand Numbers: 198,010 copies on the newsstand in the second half of 2004 versus 197,460 in 2003.
