The fleet consists of the ships HMS Plymouth and the submarine HMS Onyx from the Falklands War; the minehunter HMS Bronington announced it was going into liquidation next month. The owners of The Beatles Story at Albert Dock hope that the U534 - sunk in 1945 and raised from the seabed in 1993 - can be moved to the dock. Eleven jobs will be lost at the Trust, which is the largest group of preserved 20th Century warships in Europe. |
